It’s good that chicken wings are getting their fair share of the spotlight in the industry all over Manila. And if that’s the case, expect Marikina’s Lilac to participate in the trend! Well, there are already bunch of wings restaurants in the area, but there’s always room for more. Right now, we’ll be having Manila Wings!

Directions: See map above for reference. On the stretch of Lilac, Manila Wings is nearer on the other end opposite to Antipolo’s Soliven, and nearer to Gen. Ordonez st. so it’s past Crazy Katsu but before the entrance of Rancho 4.

You can go here for a good lunch, dinner, merienda or just hang out with friends along with some booze and snacks. The place is clean and cozy with its pseudo-American Diner-style theme with old-school Filipino movie posters hanging about. The area can house about nine groups of four people.

Now for the food review! Actually, as far as chicken wings go, theirs is just okay- good but not great. The wings we had had coating that were too crunchy-brittle for us, and a bit more little and expensive compared to others. If you’re craving for wings, I’d rather you go to Crazy Chicken that’s just a few meters away.

But, let me repeat- BUT! What I will go back here for is their Bacon Mushroom Melt which I oh-so-loved. Big tasty patty, and VERY generous on the bacon and cheese. Just look at the picture. It was literally heaven on my plate. And James’ comment on the Salpilog were all praises as well. Big serving, uber tasty!

I hope our take on the wings won’t stop you from coming here as their other food are awesome. There are lots of choices in the menu we haven’t tried but looked yummy as well. I might have a take at them next time. But I swear, try the burger. Here are the photos of what we ordered!
